I’m Dahlya

(they/them, sometimes she, and sometimes he)

I’m a gender non-conforming, queer, Jewish, extroverted creativity addict with 20+ years of professional training and experience in acting, dancing, singing, comedic writing, songwriting, improv, musical improv, blah blah blah!

I’ve been living and performing in Los Angeles since 2015 doing all kinds of stuff! I’ve had the joy of acting on some real cool TV shows, performing on house teams at UCB, directing and teaching as a company member of Story Pirates, opening for Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata with my trio, Femmedy Trio, and much more.

Recent projects include: originating the role of Ms. Friss in the world premiere of It’s All Your Fault, Tyler Price, directed by Tony nominated Kristin Hanggi (Broadway’s Rock of Ages) and composed by Emmy winner Ben Decter; performing in the world premiere of A Transparent Musical at Center Theatre Group’s Mark Taper Forum, written by Emmy winners Joey and Faith Soloway, directed by Tony winner, Tina Landau; and Miss Hysteria, a new musical which was part of the Universal Theater Group and ASCAP foundation’s New Musical Workshop Series, lead by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin’, Godspell).

My favorite things outside of my creative endeavors include: dogs, silly reality tv love shows, fresh ginger, daytime naps, Thai food, and seeing my friends succeed!

Feel free to check out the rest of my site for details on all of the above. I’d love to collaborate with you in any way possible.

Let’s create!
